How long they last
Session cookies clear when the browser closes. Persistent analytics cookies expire on a set schedule, never longer than 13 months.
Switching cookies off
Every major browser offers a way to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking the essential ones may break parts of the site; blocking analytics changes nothing about reading the pages.
